The company was recently formed by Tim Dunningham who has over 20
years experience in the horticultural mail order industry as Chief
Executive of Flying Brands the Jersey based quoted mail order company
whose main brands are Flying Flowers (mail order flowers as a gift) and
Gardening Direct (bedding plants for own use). Tim retired as Chief
Executive of Flying Brands in October 2002.
The operational side of our business, based at our state of the art
newly refurbished nursery in Jersey, is managed by Peter Clark our Director of Horticulture. He is an
experienced horticulturalist and prior to joining us in 2004 was Director of
Horticulture for Flying Brands, responsible for growing all of Gardening
Direct’s Jersey production.
The company is also assisted by a non executive director Cameron
McPhail, who was Chief Executive of the Wealth Management Division of
the Royal Bank of Scotland. He was responsible for a range of offshore
and private banking businesses, including Coutts and The Royal Bank of
Scotland International which collectively employ around 7000 staff in
16 countries.
